The Stokes-Streat-Phillips family reunion was started in September 2002. It was started so that our family would get to know each other and become closer together as a family. Ever since we started, it has been successful and peaceful every year.The family reunion was started by the children of Mary Stokes Streat Phillips. It was taken over by her grandchildren in the year 2005.The grandchildren get together and have family meetings. We have officers in charge which are as follows: Andre Streat & Charles Stevens are co-presidents and co-treasurers. Mazie Fegans & Sarah Huggins are co-senior advisors. The dues are $5.00 for a single person(no mate & no children) or $10.00 for a family( mate &/or children). The dues are collected monthly by Andre, Karseem , Maxine or Rose . It is given to Andre or Karseem to put in the family reunion bank account. The money is used to buy food, music, and entertainment for the reunion. In the future we are looking to use the money to buy t-shirts , to rent clubs, and to go on trips all as a family. Everyone in the family has a voice. Your opinions are valuable so don’t be afraid to speak up in a respectable manor.We would like everyone that has not been paying dues to start paying them so that we don’t have to look for our parents to buy the food and other things for the family reunion. The next family reunion is scheduled for Saturday, September 6, 2008. remember our family motto:“WE ALL WE GOT”
