THE JUST JOANS
The just joans formed in north lanarkshire in 1997. They released their debut album, "last tango in motherwell", in 2005 on ivan lendil records. Tony Kiernan of "Is this music" magazine described it as "...probably the best scottish album this year". It sold 7 copies, 4 of which Tony bought. They have just released 2 mini-albums, "virgin lips" and "hey boy....... you're oh so sensitive" on WeePOP! records. They've both sold out, but they're working towards releasing a new 7-inch single entitled "love and other hideous accidents" around christmas.

Sailor Tongue
A band born from a mouldy basement somewhere in Leeds. Once upon a time obsessed with the Erase Errata sound (minus the cowbell), the band has now found a distinctive style of their own - layering powerful screamy vocals with dance punk fury and mayhem, singing/shouting about gender/sexuality, polar bears, domesti-gays, slagging off the too-cool kids at indie clubnights or whatever they feel like picking at. This is shameless queercore you can dance to.

Wake the president
Local band creating an elegant din. Erik Sandberg delivers lyrics about cognitive therapy and sexual deviance as if experiencing his own personal catharsis, now rocking, now barely standing, as twin brother Björn and the rest of the band, veering from major to minor, desperately try to keep the ship on course behind him.

Bildwechsel Glasgow Queer and quirky film projections as you dance sailor dance. Bildwechsel is an umbrella organisation for women in media, culture and art. Based in Hamburg it acts as a platform and as an infrastructure which women can tap into to support and develop their own work. Currently screening work at the CCA in Glasgow every two months.
