TOUCH a Rhode Island based hard rock metal group has been around the scene for more than three decades. Getting their start in the late 70's the group was formed and went on to do many great things that helped shape the local music scene. Starting out initially as a cover band only, TOUCH eventually ventured into the original music scene playing local venues and making enough noise to eventually be heard. They found themselves in the late 80's with a home town hero style approach and getting their video "You're Fighting Fire" onto MTV in the high point of the music video boom. Many years later after alot of hard work and a very dedicated fan base TOUCH found themselves venturing back into the cover music realm. They went on nearly two decades performing high energy music for local fans to later disband in the late 90's. Nearly almost a decade later, lead singer, Bob Conti has found himself performing in one of the country's best AC/DC tribute bands; Dirty Deeds. With great success, Dirty Deeds has played to many audiences and venues across New England. They have had great success in their own right. Pushing the envelope further, TOUCH has decided to reunite with a new lineup of musicians performing some of the best music of the 80's era. It is Touch's intention to enable a new generation of audience, as well as past audiences, to experience the energy that once existed in the height of their success.
Growing up with a such a great music influence, Nate Conti, Bob's son, decided to try and make a push to put together one last version of Touch. The goal in mind to pay tribute to the successes his father had experienced throughout the 80's, and also pay tribute to the impact they have had on others as well as himself. TOUCH has finally come together one last time with a fresh new lineup to cover some of the greatest music of our era. In the coming days TOUCH will also join with many past members of the group to kickoff a huge reunion show, catering to all members who once represented TOUCH on stage. TOUCH would like to invite you all to come and be part of the unforgettable memories of an earlier era that may have passed, but will not be forgotten throughout 2008 and beyond.
