Killblonde

Killblonde, as a young, but perspective duet, does really apply for its own position in the world of electronic music. Both of its members can be considered as experienced old residents of music scene. They know each other for more than 7 years, and, at last, took a decision to unite their knowledge, talent and experience.

Vadim Shmelev is a DJ and producer. He started his musical experience when he was a child. His first track ever – “Raise Y Power” – was created in 1999. Then Vadim unites his efforts with his brother – one of the best local Djs for those times – and they release track called “Sunshine”, which was rotating on local radio station.

Dj Justin started his musical activity in 1999 at one of night clubs, where staff parties and brake-beat parties took place. Dj Justin and Vadim met in the beginning of 2000, while creating hip-hop project Baga Beat, which was the source for such teams as NTL, Stafford, FTD and Jingle Ltd. This project actively developed hip-hop culture in Siberia’s capital, collaborating with a lot of common teams from other cities. In 2001 Jingle Ltd. took 1st place at festival “Snickers Urbania”, their track “Emptiness” has become a real hit among the alternate hip-hop sound. In 2003 Baga Beat broke up, Vadim entirely goes into trance music, Dj Justin completely brings himself to dj activity.

For one year Vadim was releasing mix-compilations called “Lost in Emotion”, where he presented the most outstanding producers of trance music scene. For the beginning of 2004 Dj Justin becomes a demanded local Dj, he performs in many night clubs with guests-musicians from Moscow and St.Petersburg. After the opening of the biggest night club beyond the Urals Mountains – Opera Club – Dj Justin becomes its resident and art-director. For the moment he is one of the most demanded djs of Siberia, he travels and performs in all regional cities.

In 2007 Vadim released his track “Air”, which was presented in radio show of Above & Beyond. On December, 12th the Sundesire records released track called “Buy Me The Boots”

Remixes on the track of project “Killblonde” with the same name are done by such musicians as Shifted Reality, Chance Jumpers, Bram, Aurum Beats, R13, Digital Brothers, Maris.
