"My name is Barry Malloney and if you d like to hear me sing I ll pick up my guitar and let the mystery begin." These are the words of a funny song I wrote about myself. It has to do with the circumstance that I always loved to play on my guitars and sing, but had very little time doing so because of the amount of time I spent on my professional career. But in the spring of 2008 I decided to record some songs that I wrote over the years - just for my own pleasure :-) Some friends encouraged me to present my work here at myspace. It is just me, my guitars and some simple percussion. Shortly after that I had the opportunity to re-record two of the songs with the help of Jim Horn (www.jimhorn.com) and Richie Gajate-Garcia (www.gajate.com). As you may imagine, the result of that collaboration sounds much better than my first own efforts ;-). These days in 2009, I am a big step further. I am working on a professional production of fourteen original songs. Oliver Gabay is the sound engineer who does the rhythm sections, plays the organ, the accordeon and some other nice things (www.gabay-musik.de), Ralf Trautner plays guitars, bass and mandolin and sings backup vocals together with Janet M. Christel. Jim Horn is doing a perfect job again. Three of the tracks are already digitally released as the "Up In The Rocky Mountains EP". The song "Eric & Erin" is the title track of that EP.
