About Me

D.V.S was founded, mainly under one principle alone. Just like sex, sometimes it is just better to play with yourself than with others. I have been in a plethora of bands, most of them long term projects, but constantly found myself back at square one. It seemed like I always ended up with something resembling what I set out for, but nothing with a spitting image of what I heard in my head. At practices I would always jump on what ever instruments opened up, just mainly for shits and giggles, but starting getting pretty good at all of them. I also figured it would give me somewhat more of a say since I could jump behind what ever instrument I was creatively criticizing and show them what I meant. MISTAKE! Just like sex, no one likes to be told they are doing something wrong and that they should be doing it a different way. So one day amidst all my struggles, a sick and twisted little angel that I like to call Pukey (Luke) decided his possesions were beginning to own him and donated his Boss BR-8 track recorder to my cause. It definately got me started but also opened my mind to looking at songs from 8 different directions. I knew at that point I was in no way ready to produce so I interned at a hip-hop studio in Lynchburg, Va, The Dirt Factory. It was fun mainly because I just got to sit there and watch and learn for free, minus a few party essentials here and there. After my Grandmother passed away I got a nice inheritence and knew she would not want me blowing it all away on partying, so I invested it into more equipment. My sources at The Dirt Factory hooked me up with all my software and I got my mixer, computer, soundcard and monitors. Since then it has been a fucking rollercoaster of trying to figure out what one definate direction do I want to take my music. I like my black metal attempts alot, don't get me wrong, but the thing I don't like is the mental images writing them brings to mind. I also do a blues project as well as a classical/jazz and a hip hop project. Since Misguided's demise on Feb 15th I have started questioning even playing at all. In comparison to a relationship though, atleast we all walked away with a somewhat good taste in our mouths, unlike most of my breakup's with the ladies. I hope someday everyone grows up and quits letting other people run their lives, but who knows, maybe I'm the one who needs to grow up. Pppshhh, yeah, and monkeys might fly out of my butt.

My Interests

Music:

Band Members: D.V.S: Will Bryant- Guitars, Bass, Drums, Keys, Vocals and Samples, degenerate Slit Your Wrists Profiles
Influences: First and Foremost, ALL my friends and family who have supported me over the years. Thank you for your kind words of encouRAGEment and unending patience. Musically I would have to give credit to (not in order) Al Jorgensen, Trent Reznor, Otep, Les Claypool(all projects), Dimmu Borgir, Al Petaway, John Bryant, Leo Kotke, Rick Hawkins, Cradle of Filth, Morbid Angel, D.I.Y, Cannibal Corpse, Deicide, Malevolent Creation, Dying Fetus, Winter Solstice, Ill Nino, Skinny Puppy, OHGR, Lamb of God, Dirty Irby, Spazz, Filth, Acid Masticators, Focused Energy, Deftones, Korn, Will Haven, MudVayne, Chimaira, Slipknot and the best fucking band in the galaxy, Misguided Hatred (R.I.P). Stay true to your roots and your limbs will never break! Booyackashaa!
Sounds Like: NOISE A conglomerate of all things heavy, disturbed, misunderstood and evil. The first track on this sight is more of a metal/mainstream song. Between the low, squealing guitars and poor me lyrics disguised behind hated filled vocals, it is almost a track worthy of my old band, Misguided Hatred. One thing I was trying to do with this project is break loose of the "F*ck Love" mentality I had sort of gotten stuck in with MH. The lyrics are definately borderline ".l..
