About Me

First off I'd like to offer the URL to my photo site, it's: --- flickr.com/fotophriendly --- If you'd like to know more about the site, check out my blog here on myspace, I talk a bit more about it. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to drop me a note. Thanks ____________________________________________________________ ____REGGAE: Ras moon & Monsoon played out for the first time as a unit 2 years ago, May 2006. Initially, through jamming at a friends studio, Rasmoon and myself built a connection. Over time, with the continuing inspiration that we felt towards the music that was transpiring from our gatherings, the ball started rolling to form a band, which happened when I got together what is now the members of 'Monsoon'. That first meeting of the four of us proved to be a forceful,powerful sound with a message that needed to be heard. To this day we continue to spread the sound & put the voice forth. Rasmoon's word/message is one of peace, love and respect for one another as sentient beings on this planet we call home. Together as one...harmony. To live everyday..the fundamental frequency of life. ____________________________________________________________ ____JAZZ: I wrote these while living in Mountain View,CA. A beautiful town between San Jose & San Francisco. I'd like to thank Larry Gerndt for all his help when it came to recording "Pacific Standard Times" and playing key's on the jazz songs listed... and Myron Dove, who recorded & played bass on "Flight Train". ____________________________________________________________ ____ RELAXATION: Chris Theriault and myself wrote and arranged the song(s) that are listed here as such. The music was solicited by a label called AudioVision. I'd like to thank Chris for his expertise when it came to capturing the sounds of the two acoustics, ( both 1930's Martins, give or take a year ) of which both are his. It was a joyful experience to finally record together after knowing one another and playing since we were 17! I do hope this music will leave you feeling as we did while recording it, both relaxed and inspired. ____________________________________________________________ ____ FREESTYLE/IMPROVE: The music listed under this title will be 100% improve. The musicians listed under this catagory are: Greg Smith, who played bass, and by chance turned on the recorder before we started jamming ( thanks Greg!) also Marco Haber, a phenomenal hand percussionist that if you haven't heard him, is a must that you do. He is a truly gifted individual with a style all his own. The jam went on for at least two hours, of which at the end both Marco and I complain about our hands needing a break ( hopefully not literally )=0}
