About Me

Located on Marshall University's Campus in Huntington,WV; We are a small, yet dedicated group of students who have formed this organization for the purpose of raising awareness within the Marshall community about the suffering and exploitation of animals. We will work towards positive change in the way animals are viewed and treated in our society through pro-active campaigns. Goals: (1) We want to educate and encourage others to live more compassionately by promoting a plant-based diet. Approximately 20 billion land and marine animals are killed EVERY YEAR for food- this is far more numbers than animals killed in labs, or by hunters, fur ranches, or any other industry combined!!! (2) Abolish Dissection. If we cannot persuade MU to stop this practice altogther we will work towards getting a Student Choice Policy implemented on campus. This policy would be for any student who does not wish to perform dissection/vivisection due to their religious or ethical beliefs.(this has the potential to save thousands of lives annually) This policy will protect student's rights, and guarantee they will be given effective and humane alternatives; and will not be penalized.

Events: We will be enjoying the weather and some good food this Sunday the 26th at 2:00 till maybe 4-4:30, at Ritter Park (We will be under the pavillion). Feel free to bring a veggie dish, goodie or refreshment, (don't worry about it if you are unable to bring something). All members of the community are welcome to attend. Hope to see you there :)

Also in March~ March 5th we will be joining Vic from Vegan Outreach once again this semester to leaflett on campus. We managed to pass out 1800 last time! It would be great to see us reach even more people this time. Anyone wanting to join us, please let me know!!!
