About Me

Micah and Chantel Their vocal and musical abilities speak for themselves. Rather than be boxed into a particular niche, they've often rummaged through various stylestacks of books...grabbing from whatever interests them. Their tastes in music often range from both traditional and modern country, to rock-n-roll and gospel...whatever the choice, they throw it into the blender and the result is what they like to call good ole country soul. Chantel is a bonafide Razorback, born in Benton, Arkansas. She picked up the guitar at the tender age of 8 and hasn't stopped strumming it since. The journey began, and before you know it the road led to the city of dreams...Nashville, Tennessee. Relentlessly, she pursued every opportunity given her. At one point, she had even secured a major label development deal...however, the ups and downs of the music business took its toll. Eventually, the road led her to the alto section in the church choir. It seemed like a commercial career in the music business wasn't to be a part of her journey after all, so she stayed content with lending her voice to a higher calling.....not for long. Enter the long, blonde-haired, preacher's son. Micah, an own son of Kentucky, was born to a fire breathing, Pentecostal preacher. His earliest musical recollections are of his mother opening the hymn book to teach him to sing. He says, "Somewhere around the age of five, dad let me sing for the first time in church. I was so short, that hymn books had to be stacked for people to see me behind the pulpit. After that, I was hooked, I sang anywhere I could." At his parent's insistence, he pursued a college education. However, as soon as the four years were over, he bought a one way ticket to Nashville, Tennessee to follow his dreams. He quickly realized that the road to stardom wasn't as smooth as he'd anticipated. He was just a small fish in a vast sea of hopefuls. The road took a bit of a detour though, and it was while singing on a Gospel record that he met a fiery redhead. Interestingly enough, it was that same road that led him to the tenor section in the church choir. Little did he know, it was going back to his roots with the church choir that would be his introduction to a new life...both musically and personally. As all good love stories go, the two became inseparable and bonded over guitars and old Merle Haggard tunes. The result is a duo, saturated with close-knit harmonies and songs about life, love, happiness and everything in between. Chantel says, "Country music represents everything we love about life. The songs we sing are songs we believe in as a young, newly married couple struggling to make it in the world. Life is hard, the music business is tough, but you have to wake up every day and pursue those dreams and live a life with no regrets!" Either way, selling out arenas or playing together in the living room for each other, music will always be an integral part of this duos history.[LOVEMYFLASH]
