About Me

I am happily married to my beautiful wife and a proud father two awesome kids (a daugter and a son). I am a martial arts school owner and have Full Instructorships in Jun Fan Martial Arts/JKDC, Filipino Martial Arts, Combat Submission Wrestling and Thai Boxing. I am also a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and a former NCAA College Wrestling Team member (University of Minnesota). I also have Instructorships in Maphilindo Silat, Krabi-Krabong, Army Combatives, and PPCT. I am a 2 X cancer survivor (Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma and Neurolymphomatosis [cancer of the sciatic nerve]. I was blessed with being the FIRST known survivor of this type of nerve cancer. I am a born again Christian (undeserved, truly saved by grace), giving my life to the Lord in 1996. I try to live by a few simple creeds, the first: Opera Non Verba or Deeds Not Words. Second: Forgive and Forget or deal head on with what is bothering you. Third: Stand for something and know why you believe and then live for it. Fourth: "Judge not, that ye be judged. For with what judgement ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye sete, it shall be measured to you again." This is not a blanket statement to overlook wrong behavior, but to be discerning rather than negative. Jesus was stating his displeasure with hypocritical, judgemental people that tear others down so they can feel better about themselves. If you are going to criticise someone you better see if you deserve the same criticism, judge yourself first, examine your own motives and actions instead of judging others. However, don't be afarid of sticking up for what is right and dealing with those that are obviously doing something wrong. Sometimes you have to hurt some feelings and be brutaly honest with those you truly care for. Finally, the Golden Rule: "Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you." I have made a lot of mistakes, and have said a lot of stupid things, unfortunately I still do, however I have a savior in Jesus to whom I can repent and trust. Live and learn, and as an old friend once shared with me, "A good man that is in the right and keeps on coming, is a hard man to stop." written by an unknown Texas Ranger.

I'd like to meet:

The Lord and him saying "Well done my faithful servant" and then of course all of those who sat at the table of the last supper. I would definately like to chat with Moses and Elijha. As long as I am talking about dead people, I would be great to meet Nai Khanom Tom, the father of Muay Thai and Lapu Lapu (who led the defense of the island of Mactan against the first Spanish invasion, in which Magellan paid with his life). I would like meet Helio Gracie, Dan Gable, Ajarn Apidej Sithirun (the champ of 7 Titles), Ajarn Tooey Yodthong, Kaosai Galaxy (in his prime) and Master Ben Largusa....I could go on and on.Outside of the Martial Arts I would like to meet Sir Isaac Newton, Confucius, Christopher Columbus, Albert Einstein, Louis Pasteur, Galileo Galilei, Aristotle, Augustus Caesar, Genghis Khan, Martin Luther, Thomas Edison, James Watt, General Patton, Ronald Reagan, again I could go on and on.I would like to meet Oliver North and talk with him about what he knows.
