Emmanuel, raised in Uganda, East Africa, started singing at a tender age of 5 in a sunday school choir at Makerere Full Gospel Church.
Having been born in a family of singers and musicians right from his Mom, brothers and sisters greatly inspired him to sing and engage in ministry at such a young age. Makerere Full Gospel Church laid the foundation for his musical talents and credits Minister Ssesanga for the first musical lessons he offered him. My Parents would take me and my brothers and sisters, every Saturday to Church, as it was a requirement for all children and youths to attend music classes. He joined the Kids Club group, the Intermediate Choir and then the Wells of Joy Choir, when he was a teenager.
He then joined the Kansanga Miracle Centre Worship Team in 1996-1997, as one of the lead singers in the team before relocating to the United Kingdom in 1998. He was also influenced by his sister Martha, who is now an accomplished musician.
Emmanuel, who is now based in England, United Kingdom, has worked with various church choirs, groups and award-winning artists both in East Africa and Europe. He has done BGV's and featured on several gospel artists' records, which inspired him to work on his first project. His debut album is soon to be launchedHe attends Liberty Christian Fellowship in London, England and is one of the praise and worship leaders there. He treasures his Pastor's Lincoln & Grace Serwanga for providing a platform for him to minister.Aside from his own commitments, Emmanuel has done backup's for gospel artists such as Alvin Slaughter, U.S.A, Pastor Kingsley and Modele from Nigeria, Fiona Wamala Mukasa from Uganda and many others. Also he was a lead tenor in the CJAM concert held in the renowned Fairfield Halls in Croydon, South London alongside Music for all Seasons, a South African based group during the 2008 Easter weekend. He met 2 "key people in his life", as he normally refers to them, who greatly made a difference towards his solo ministry. Pastor David Kateeba and Paul Kim from First Love Group were very inspirational in encouraging him to do his own project. Paul and David will forever be treasures in his life. May God bless them and their families!MY SALVATION STORY:Although I was raised in a Christian family, I'd never made a personal decision to give my life to God. I went to Church every Sunday and sang in the choir but all that was not enough to qualify me as “savedâ€. My life had a turnaround for good when I attended a musical drama titled "Heaven's gates and hell's flames" at Kampala Pentecostal Church. I was in my teens then and after watching that drama with no one to force me, I responded positively to the alter call and decided to give my life to God. I was led in a simple and brief sinner’s prayer by Pastor Gary Skinner and immediately after, I received Salvation. It was that simple! All the different scenes in the drama had a message in them, which made me realise that Salvation was a personal decision and not a group or family decision. I believe that without a personal confession and accepting Jesus Christ into your life, there's no Salvation.
I realised I would have lost my soul had I died before this drama regardless of my church attendances and ministry every Sunday. From that time on, I have never regretted or looked back! My prayer is that whoever is reading this testimony and has never made this most important decision in life, will be encouraged to make it too. It's an assurance knowing that your soul will escape God’s judgement and live forever in eternity even though the body dies!
