About Me

Having been born on the floor of Abbey Road's famed Studio 1, it seemed inevitable that Ben Fisher would grow up to become a musician. After tinkering on the drumkit, and a short stint playing the longhorn in the Swiss Alps, he soon settled on the guitar and became somewhat of a musical vagabond, drifting from project to project and plying his trade with anything that sparked his interest. As well as writing and performing his own material Ben has played live and recorded sessions with a vast array of artists in various musical situations, playing anything from : Blues, Country, Folk, Heavy Metal, Americana, Rock, Bluegrass, Soul, Jazz, Christmas Songs, Euro Pop and a form of traditional Haitian Funk from the Outer Rim.He co-wrote the song Killing Yourself On Purpose with Paul Olsen, which has been included on the Scrapomatic release Sidewalk Caesars. Is featured on 3 tracks of the Bob Collum cd Set The Stupid Free. And has just finished recording for the latest Athenia record.Ben enjoys all kinds of music, from lengthy jams to short sweet songs, but prefers the laid back approach and is well regarded as someone who plays with plenty of restraint and always with the song in mind. The rest, as they say, is geography -----------------------------------------------------"Listen ing is important. It amazes me how many people forget this basic rule" ------------------------------------------------------------ ----------------"And never underestimate how many Cheerios are left in the box".
