Laura "Da Goddess" has been creating wearable art and altered art from recycled jewelry for about 20 years. Up unitl a few years ago she only made jewelry and household decorative items for herself and very close family and friends. A giant change in her life because of a natural disaster prompted Laura to try to break out and show the whole world what she was up to and perhaps make a bit of cash at the same time. On top of finding the most environment friendly ways to recycle everything possible, she collects, buys, begs, borrows, not steal though, but any other way of obtaining old, junky, broken, stones missing, parts missing jewelry and creates new and exciting wearable art or home decor items. After Katrina took everything away from her, she gave everything else she had left into starting over. That is when she came up with the idea to go further in keeping the earth green than Al Gore ever suggested and combine that with her true passion; Wearable art and altered art. What better way to not only help keep our precious earth green, but also to retain memorobilia that may have been long gone without Laura's innovation. In these times, history is where you find it. Her style is like no other. She has created and marketed many designs and the ideas just seem to keep coming. She never stops experimenting with textures, colors, designs or anything that might be interesting and unique to the eye. Her prices are very reasonable for the amount of product and work that goes into any one piece. She takes pride in her work and would never offer anything that she would not keep for herself.
