About Me

Duo Vardanyan is a husband/wife violin duo located in Rochester, New York. Both are graduates of the Eastman School of Music. They perform a vast array of violin duos as well as arrangements of other pieces in a variety of different musical styles. When not playing together, Tigran can be found performing with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, teaching, or giving solo recitals. Emily can be found performing with the Syracuse Symphony, Cayuga Chamber Orchestra, or the Orchestra of the Southern Finger Lakes as well as giving solo recitals. Tigran's most influential teachers include Levon Zoryan, Villy Mokazyan, Abram Shtern, Zvi Zeitlin, and Oleh Krysa. Emily's most influential teachers include Beverly Beheim, Therese Fetter, Frederick Halgedahl, Mikhail Kopelman, and Zvi Zeitlin.Uploaded music is from a live concert in Boston, 2004.
