About Me

IN LOVING MEMORY: DIANA LYNN LOPEZ BARROWS 1954-2006 THERESA M. DOMINGUEZ 1948-1997 ESTELLA T. LOPEZ 1931-2006I am lost, somewhat disillusioned and cracked but, not broken. I sometimes take more than I'm willing to give and, I almost always give more than I have- leaving nothing for myself. I seek out those who dominate me but, I resent the raising of their iron fist. I forgive and seek approval from those who are most treacherous to me, while begruding others for the slightest transgretions. I am exceedingly gaurded to the point of appearing sketchy, sometimes. I love passionately, when I allow myself to love but, I can be cold and void when I do not. My broken heart hurts me physically. I've been left by the wayside by people who called me family and friend. I have laughed at the dreams of others and, failed to reach dreams of my own. I don't know if I've hurt more people than I've helped or, if the hurt I've inflicted has managed to help. I have used and been used. I have forsaken many of my hopes and dreams, while others I hold to for dear life. I'm not the writer that I could and should be. I'm not as good a person as I used to be. I'm a land-locked vagabond searching for the sea, and romanticizing what I'll find on the other side. I hate people who use kids as weapons. I learned the meaning of: Get busy livin or, get busy dyin'- but, I fear that I still ride the fence. I realized that it only hurts this bad when you REALLY love the person. Most importantly, I've learned the value of owning who and what you are, for better or worse, and having the ability to suck it up and take it, no matter how ugly. That's empowering. So, I thought that I'd get honest as possible. Take it or leave it. Don't pity and, don't hate. The good part is I care enough to try harder now.
