He initiated his Musical studies with only 10 years old in the Lira Musica in Setubal. He had classes of organ, piano and viola but since ever he had a fall for the rhythms musicals, a gift that the music teacher said that had. After several years of musical formation he ended up being installed definitely in what he liked to do, the percussion, having also classes in the Escola S�tima Posicao in Lisbon. He has carried out several workshops of Brazilian percussion, afros tribal, afro Arabian, between others. He initiated his professional career through the project "Getz Project" in July of the year 2002, and ever since, havent stopped. A stunning mixture between the House Music and the Tribal Afro-Arabe knows fantastic results with the performances of GUITOS, or else, trails in authentic delirium emanated to big emotions. The quality and the image are two words that define the excellent work of this percussionist. Guitos is very versatile, once he can fit in his techniques in the more diverse styles of music, possessing also a lot diversity in his performances. Here's the materials that are used on these big nights of percussion: Congas, Bongos, Blocks, Octobans, Timbales, Ron Ton Tones, Cowbels, Plates, Bar Chimes, Darbuka, Pad Electronic Percussion, mixing set with processor of effects and diverse microphones.
