A list of a few things that I like or keep me amused. Being busy. Loopback chairs. Narborough Road and Braunstone Gate drinking. Roses. Shopping. Cats. Booja Booja vegan truffles. Pizzeria-style marble table tops. Sleeping in beds where you can see the sky. Gigs. Kids that adore you just because you are new. French-style ageing window shutters. Ben Shephard. Eating outside in the summertime. Random internet purchases. Being woken up by the sunshine. Beyond Skin shoes. Freya lingerie. Cold calling, friendly telephone salesmen with sexy voices. Dressing up nicely to go out when other people make the effort too. Kitchens with islands and Belfast sinks. Jeans. The possibility that animals might acquire accents depending on where they live. Cowboy style. Chandeliers. Firefly/bug. Lizards in France. Handbags. Dancing and singing to my heart's content when nobody is around. Dough balls.
I'd like to meet:
I'd also like to meet the real Don Juan, to see if he's a legend for all the right or all the wrong reasons! Obviously I can't get a picture of him, so for now I shall assume he looks identical to Johnny Depp. I think this fair.
Music:
The White Stripes, Nikka Costa, Tom Waits, The Pogues, Suzanne Vega, Julie Delpy, Christina Aguilera... and a hell of a lot more that I can't think of right now or can't be bothered to list.
Movies:
Dead Man and Lost In Translation are my favourites. Some others that I love are... Intimate Lighting, Chocolat, What's Eating Gilbert Grape, Loves of a Blonde, Thelma and Louise, Before Sunrise, Before Sunset, Stagecoach, Brief Encounter, Psycho, The Birds, The Breakfast Club, Lone Star, Monster's Ball, Angela's Ashes, High Noon, Blow, Secretary, Untamed Heart, Bande a Part, Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid, My Darling Clementine, Blue Velvet, All About My Mother, Mystery Train, Easy Rider, Coffee and Cigarettes, A Bout de Souffle, Down By Law, Shane, Annie Hall, Amelie, Night on Earth. I really could go on forever. But I won't.
Television:
Friends, Lost, Neighbours, Doctors, Monk, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, BBC News, Alan Partridge, Friday Night With Jonathon Ross, Have I Got News For You, Sabrina The Teenage Witch (you can't beat a sarcastic talking cat for high class afternoon entertainment), Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman.
Books:
Not a huge fan of books, my imagination is rubbish so I would rather take in a more 'visual' medium. Books are best for holidays and I don't manage to go on enough of these! If I had an apartment with a terrace, say in Prague, I would read. I would like to add that I am not illiterate, just impatient.
Heroes:
Pamela Anderson is my foremost heroine, although probably not for the reasons you are thinking. Ingrid Newkirk follows as a close second (if you don't know who she is I think you should make the effort to find out). Jack White, Johnny Depp and Jim Jarmusch are my heroes as well, for providing me with some of my favourite things and for adding extra amounts of beauty to the world, both artistically and physically!
