Apple Horse is an Indie Folk band from Boise, Idaho. Beginning in Spring of 2008, Ben Konkol and Alex Johnston began to write cheerful acoustic music with simple guitar parts and catchy, repetitive melodies. When Bryan Konkol joined on drums, the music gained structure and a distinctive rhythmical signature, and and the three began to form more dynamic music. After playing their first show at the Flying M in Nampa, Trevor Schultz joined on bass and gave Apple Horse its much needed backbone. Since their first show at the Boise Venue in Spring of 2009, Ben has begun using electric guitar, and with the tasteful addition of Trev's glockenspiel, the diversity of Apple Horse's music continues to grow.
After touring with My Paper Camera and We Won the Science Fair in August, Apple Horse is excited to be back in their home town, and busier than ever! A new record will hopefully be in the mix, but in the meantime, support from our friends is what we need to make it to that goal.
Apple Horse's good friends, Tim Reeve , and Cyndee Wanyonyi have taken most of the pictures that you see.
