Some of the best films ever created were written and directed during the 1970s and 1980s. The late 1970s and all of the 1980s is most commonly recognized as the Teen Movie era. Hollywood turned out more teen movies during this time period than in any other. Who could forget Michael J. Fox in "Back to the Future", Matthew Broderick in "Ferris Bueller's Day Off", and Molly Ringwald in "Sixteen Candles"? However, even though teen movies dominated the box office, this is also the time period in which Hollywood really came into its own with action, sci-fi, & horror films. Growth in these areas was due largely in part to the pioneered cinematic creativity of George Lucas in "Star Wars". The cinematography advancements that followed would pave the way to the box office for some of biggest action stars in Hollywood history; Arnold Schwarzenegger (Commando, Predator, The Terminator) Sylvester Stallone (Rambo I & II), Chuck Norris (Missing In Action I, II, III) and Bruce Willis (Die Hard). Most of you probably own one or all of the beloved titles mentioned above and can most likely quote the dialog line-by-line.
