About Me

Hello everyone! It is difficult to describe in 100 words or less what you are all about, but I'll do my best. I love to travel and dream of exploring the world.I'm the kind of person who would go anywhere at anytime should the opportunity arise.I love the spontaneous.I love to write, listen to all kinds and genres of music, hike, bike, run, talk with friends on late night walks or laugh until I can't breath anymore.I'm a student in my final year, but that is certainly not what defines me.I work at a doctor's office to pay the bills, but other than that professions or careers are not what concern me. I love people ...from all backgrounds, walks of life, and cultures.I'm generally optimistic and tend to see the world through those lenses...but I also see the injustice, need, and longing of a hungry world.I think in terms of the possible...I can do this because what I live for is my closest friend, Jesus. I do not believe in religion.Religion is what Jesus preached against.I do,however, believe in His redeeming grace and His compassion on a needy and underprivileged world.I live in the United States and am thankful for what I have, but my heart always feels a bit misplaced..as if I belong serving the poor of the world which I believe is possibly the closest to God's heart that one can reach. My trip to Uganda is what lit this fire inside of me and for that I will be forever changed. God is good and I have a reason to live joyfully and genuinely. I look forward to this adventure called life...

My Interests

I love the outdoors;especially the mountain crags. I love the forests; peaceful silence as I run through the trees,my heart pounding with every step as I watch the morning sun come through the trees. I love to sit and watch the pounding waves of the majestic ocean, feel the water rushing past my seemingly insignificant frame, and listen closely to the babbling of the cheerful brooks. I love people. Often times I will wander off with nothing but my house keys and explore the streets of my little Oregonian town, watching the people with all of their quirks and character. I love to meet strangers and talk for hours with old friends. I love when things are spontaneous, I thrive on adventure. I'm stressed when things are planned, placed in neat and seemingly lifeless boxes, void of newness and life. I fear complacency. I love to write and one will often find me tucked away in the walls of my favorite coffee shop, seemingly invisible in my mind, writing of all sorts of things; God, people, thoughts, emotions, transitions, premonitions and intuitions, love, life, and beauty. I long to travel....to see the world in its entirety....to see humanity for what it really is. I love to smile and laugh....some would say that it's extreme- but there's a reason that I'm an optimist at heart. When you know sorrow and the deepest of despairs, joy is magical once you've been set free. I live victoriously, joyfully, freely because of the salvation and freedom that Jesus has freely given me.
