‘If Bon Jovi had balls this big, he’d be a porn star!’ (Academy Studios)
Colchester based Hard Rock quartet ‘To Kill a Rose’, formed in 2007, are taking the local music scene by storm. With a blend of old school Hard Rock/Metal riffs, searing solos, melodic and memorable music moments; the band are ready to stand up and be counted amongst their peers.
Having already a self titled EP and currently recording their debut album to be released on an independent record label, and with other ideas for merchandise in the pipeline, the band have been working hard to get this project ready for the road.
The band formed in 2007 after the demise of local bands. After various line up changes the band, consisting of local musicians Terry Hunter – Vocals, Rhythm Guitar, Craig Sullivan – Lead Guitar, Chris Large – Bass and Tom Hyde – Drums, Backing Vocals, are now set for a full-scale Rock onslaught. However do not let the word local put you off; these band have extensive miles under their belt, tours of the UK and Europe already established in previous projects.
Paying homage to bands such as Guns n’ Roses, Aerosmith, Alter Bridge and Alice in chains to name a few, the band have worked hard at creating the best material they can; not compromising on anything short of great Rock Music.
The band are currently trying to finalise upcoming gigs, with a potential European support slot tour during the approaching summer to be confirmed.
