I'm looking for a band to play with in Stockholm, Sweden. I play anything from funk, jazz, soul to rock and metal.My name is Alexander Schmidt and I play the bass guitar. I started playing when I was 15 year old. Me and my friends wanted to start a band so we did. We just played cover song and did some minor giging. That lasted for about a year. When I started high school I met up with some new kids and I filled in for their bass player at a talent show. It was pretty fun except from someone pulled out the guitar amp cord. It got very intresting on stage!
Right now I live in Canada and I play with a metal band called Erabus . I also started recording some of my own songs composed mainly for solo bass but some songs have other instrument too. I like programing drums and improvising over it. I am also working on some classical pieces like Johann Sebastian Bach's "Suite No. 1 in G major for Cello", "Moonlight Sonata" and "Ave Maria."
I recently got a 7 string bass. Yes, you read right, 7 as in the seven dwarfs. It's super fun to play and I don't think I will ever go back to "just" 4 strings.
