THE TIME HAS COME!!!
This Monday, is our last day in Frightbox Recording with our pal Bobby Torres! We started this EP in mid-January (about the same time we updated this news section *oops*), and we are just so pumped to unleash this EP on the world.
It is a tad bittersweet for us though...We've had such a good time on this project, and we're going to miss being in the studio, watching poorly made horror films, and eating some surprisingly wonderful pizza.
BUT the good news is...since tracking ends soon, we are unleashing a preview of the ENTIRE EP. When are we doing that, you ask? How does THIS WEEK sound?!
We still have to take the mixes to be mastered by Nathan James at The Vault Mastering (Agraceful, Dr. Manhattan, The Bravery) this month...So keep in mind you will be hearing an unmastered sample, just to wet the palate, and show you our new and exciting direction as a band :)
We will announce the EP title, tracklisting and discuss the artwork when the preview goes live as well!
We also want to thank all our fans and friends who have been coming to our shows back as a complete unit. I know a change that huge is a bit hard to swallow, but your response has been so mindblowing, and has only pushed us as a band to work as hard as we can! Thank you, and your support truly means the world to us.
We have a bunch of great shows coming up this Spring, so we hope we'll see you in the crowd!
We are also still knee deep in the booking process for our summer tour in support of our new EP, so if you take a look at our dates and think you could help us out, that would be great. We still have a deal, where if you send us a solid lead on an open date, and it pans out, we send you a free Ire & Sentiment CD and shirt! No strings attached.
Also...WE WERE JUST CONFIRMED FOR THE CORNERSTONE FESTIVAL this July 4th. More details to be unveiled as the date gets closer. I will let you all know that we will be playing the same day as Underoath and The Devil Wears Prada, so if you are attending to catch those bands, make sure to keep at least one ear open for us!
That covers it for now! Make sure to check back this week...it will be worth the wait.

Ire & Sentiment
January 16, 2009
Well.
We are back after abandoning you guys for too long, and I am going to assume there is a lot of confusion lol.
Guess I will start with the obvious...
After a million years with the boring default layout...Our new Myspace is almost 100% up and running. It turned out better than I expected, and there is a bit more to add here and there...BUT I am just sick of looking at HTML code right now haha.
You might also notice from our new group picture (shot by the extremely gifted Mike Maroney ), we have a new addition to the band as well as a HUGE change in the Ire & Sentiment lineup.
Summer 2008 was so insane for all of us, we toured the country like we always do when it's 90+ degrees, we lost van number three in Maryland (R.I.P Pepe), we were on Warped Tour for about two weeks with our buddies Ice Nine Kills and the Red Blue Records Crew - "YES!", and we met a lot of really great people, and made a lot of new friends/fans...
But sadly, we also lost our original singer Mike. We have had a couple lineup changes, but this was a huge blow to our momentum after a really productive summer.
Sometimes, the road takes it toll on touring bands. It's a very tough lifestyle, and it's not for everyone. The ups and downs would make anyone go crazy, and he decided that it wasn't for him, and we had to respect his choice.
So, after a brief reflection as a group, we did what we felt was the natural progression for Ire & Sentiment, and decided to continue playing music that we would enjoy playing...and that music was going to be way more aggressive and technically advanced, while still maintaining the Ire & Sentiment twists and melody.
Our drummer Danny, decided to step up to vocals, and we have recruited our very good and long time friend Jean aka Nisky to handle the drum duties for Ire & Sentiment .
And to be honest, we haven't looked back...We anxiously head into the studio with the spectacular Bobby Torres at Frightbox Recordings this Saturday to begin the tracking process for a BRAND NEW EP. It goes without saying that we are all extremely excited to shred these new jams onto a disc and tour the country like we do best!
As for the sound of the band, yes it will be different. But we believe that this has been a natural progression for us, and the songs still have something that all Ire & Sentiment and general music fans can enjoy. The choruses are bigger, the riffs are heavier, and the schnozberries still taste like schnozberries.
I hope everyone enjoys the new layout, and get ready...Because 2009 is going to be a year of brand new beginnings, new songs, and new experiences for Ire & Sentiment and all our fans.
We appreciate everyones support, and everyone that has stuck by us. We haven't forgotten you at all, and we will take care of your music needs with new songs as soon as humanly possible!
OH! And check out our studio blog , that we are going to be updating as we go through the recording process over the next few weeks.
And check out our always growing list of tour dates, so we can hang out on the road!
I'm off for now. Keep in touch everyone!

Ire & Sentiment
March 27, 2008
Hello everyone! It has been a few weeks since our Myspace page was wiped out and we are so close to getting it back up to shape. We are still missing a few friends and plays, so make sure to help us out and SPREAD THE WORD about Ire & Sentiment.
So here are the major updates...OUR NEW CD "Clarity Through Diagrams" IS AVAILABLE APRIL 1, 2008! We have them in our possession, and I must say they turned out AMAZING. They will be up for sale in our new Big Cartel merch store which is available by clicking one of the two links on the left or at http://ireandsentiment.bigcartel.com . We will also have some MUCH NEEDED new merch designs SOON, so be on the look out for those.
Also, we are beyond excited to announce we are headed back into the studio with Don Debiase and Brandon Youngs in mid-April to record a couple new songs. We are coming up with some really strong material, and think it will sound HUGE in the studio. Pre-Production starts in a matter of weeks in Cleveland, OH...So get pumped!
There are a few more huge announcements, but I think we can save that for another day. Can't give away all the big news right away :)
Take care.

Ire & Sentiment
March 10, 2008
Well...as you can see there are some major differences in our Myspace page. We are missing close to 16,000 friends, couple hundred thousand views and plays, and a bunch of contacts. We honestly don't know what happened, and this set back is such a bummer since we are gearing up for the release of our first full length LP "Clarity Through Diagrams" this month. We decided that we can't sweat the small stuff, and it would just be wise to accept our losses and recoup and replace what is now gone. We will be redoing our page completely and working hard on getting all our numbers up, and spreading the word about IRE & SENTIMENT. It would be great if you helped us out ;)
Thanks!

LabelAbout Ire & SentimentFormed early 2006 in South Plainfield, New Jersey, IRE & SENTIMENT wanted to create music with no boundries or restrictions and refuse to be leery when trying new things. With all members playing and listening to different styles and genres of music, their main goal was to create an original sound. A sound that took catchy melodies with solid song structure, and the intensity and strong musicianship of the metal and post hardcore genres.
In mid-2006, they recorded their debut EP "A Beautiful Era Of Self-Built Dreams" at Burning Bridge Recordings in Indianapolis, Indiana. The EP (Released in August 2006) quickly sold many of copies, and received a fantastic response from their audiences.
Always working hard as a group to gain momentum and build a strong loyal fanbase, IRE & SENTIMENT has self-booked more SEVERAL entire tours across the entire country.
From the widely known Lucky Dog Music Hall in Worcester, Massachusetts, to the historic Whisky A Go-Go in Hollywood, California, they have easily gained a positive reputation for flawless energetic performances and consistantly gain a contingent of fans that stem from nearly every scene.
In Fall/Winter of 2007, the band successfully recorded their first full length album (released April 1st, 2008) with the highly sought-after producer Don Debiase (Forever In Terror, Beneath The Sky, Epicurean) in Cleveland, OH.
And during Summer of 2008, Ire & Sentiment promoted and sold many copies of this debut LP while touring alongside the Van's Warped Tour.
Even after the loss of THREE vans, and the many other trials and tribulations that a touring band endures, IRE & SENTIMENT shows no signs of slowing down. Their "do it yourself" mentality and vigorous drive will always stay in tact and continue to flourish.
IRE & SENTIMENT has been blessed to share many stages with many great bands such as: A Day To Remember (Victory Records), Blacklisted (Deathwish Inc.), The Years Gone By (Rise Records), Seemless (former-Equal Vision Records), Our Last Night (Epitaph Records), A Change Of Pace (Immortal Records), Parkway Drive (Epitaph/Resist Records), Catherine (Rise Records), Every Bridge Burned (Rise Records), At All Cost (former-Century Media), Don The Reader (Deathcote Records), As Blood Runs Black (Mediaskare Records), Roses Are Red (Trustkill Records), Endwell (Mediaskare Records), Anapparatus (Debello Recordings), Vanna (Epitaph Records), Tokyo Rose (SideCHO Records), Showbread (Tooth & Nail/Solid State Records), She Could Be King (Refugee Records), and Motionless In White (Fearless Recordings) to name a few. They also played on the East Coast Independent Stage at Vans Warped Tour on August 6th, 2006 and again August 5th, 2007!
