About Me

The White Salmon Guitar Co. is a one man show. I began building guitars in 1992 and served a two year apprenticeship with master steel string builder Nick Kukich of the Franklin Guitar Co. in Portland Oregon where I got to work on guitars for John Renbourn, Woody Mann, Stephan Grossman and others before striking out on my own. I moved to White Salmon WA in the heart of the beautiful Columbia River Gorge six years ago and was able to get a main street shop space that I really do love. Small town life suits me to a "T" as I can walk everywhere I need to go and there are some fantastic players in the area. Plus Portland is only an hour away. I really love my job and the great folks who help me keep on doing what I love to do "keep building the best guitars I can make" Check out the photo’s and let me know what you think! Thanks a bunch!
