Skooby
Skooby, is a raw rap talent on the brink of stardom. He hails from Chicago, IL, yet has resided in South Carolina the majority of his life.
No stranger to harsh times and the perils of the “streets,†Skooby uses his own experiences and those of others close to him to create music that is universal. Only 19 yrs old, he has already forged a voice for himself, as evident in his songs, “Carolina Ways,†“He Gets the Girl,†and “Do it Major.†Some of his music even tells the harsh realities of growing up without a father, learning how to survive in impoverished areas by any means necessary, and gang violence.
Although this his may sound like a clichéd story of so many aspiring rappers, what sets Skooby apart is his intense lyricism, especially coming from the mouth of a 19 year old young man. His song “Carolina Wayz,†has generated a strong buzz within the low country area and surrounding areas. Skooby uses his music as his voice to overcome the stenotypes and demise of so many urban youngsters. Having linked up with paper route productions, he now uses his pen as his only weapon, creating music, which like his destiny, will soon be legendary.
