About Me
There are moments in life, where silence is a sin and talk becomes an obligation. A civic duty, a moral challenge, a categorical imperative to which we can not steal.
Vi sono momenti, nella Vita, in cui tacere diventa una colpa e parlare diventa un obbligo. Un dovere civile, una sfida morale, un imperativo categorico al quale non ci si può sottrarre.
Oriana Fallaci
Oriana Fallaci (29 June 1929) is an Italian journalist, author, and political interviewer. A former partisan during World War II, she had a long and successful journalistic career.
She has interviewed many internationally known leaders and celebrities such as the Dalai Lama, Henry Kissinger, the Shah of Iran, Ayatollah Khomeini, Willy Brandt, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Walter Cronkite, Omar Khadafi, Federico Fellini, Sammy Davis Jr, Nguyen Cao Ky, Yasir Arafat, Indira Gandhi, Alexandros Panagoulis, Archbishop Makarios III, Golda Meir, Nguyen Van Thieu, Haile Selassie and Sean Connery.
After retirement, she returned to the spotlight after writing a series of articles and books critical of Islam and Arabs that aroused some support from rightwingers, controversy and accusations of racism and Islamophobia. In The Force of Reason and the Rage and the Pride she dared to state what many politicians and journalists censor, the threat to open societies posed by Islamofascism and the imposition of religious (shariah) law over civil law.
