The Rockband ANAXAGORAS was founded in 1976 by Michael Meißner - bass, Ulrich Schulz - guitar, Christian Ebert - piano and Andreas Rasokat - drums. The very early sound was influenced by pychedelic bands like Pink Floyd and many others.
In 1977 Mathias Rooch - guitar and vocals joined the musician project as a creative composer, a few months later Christian Ebert retrieved. The music style was changing into a drive of rock rythymn with complient melodies and carefully considered compositions. In the following years the band had proper local success with their early concerts.
In 1982 after some less effective substitutions Ralf Ruhenstroth - bass and Uwe Kleymann - keyboards not only completed ANAXAGORAS but the band had developed its new musically face and conmitted its fantastic sound as a performing live band. It began the most successful and creative period of the band. After some successful concerts during 1984 the band - on the top of their performance - not really split up altough by professional issues and movement of some members.
Between 1985 and 2005 the band had fallen into a big creative musically sleep. The members now were persecuting their very own ways without remembering each other all the years and always remembering the good times and fun they had. Mathias Rooch retired 12 years completely from music and Ralf Ruhenstroth dedicated later its time as a music journalist.
The surprising reunion in summer 2005 took place without Andreas Rasokat who definitely retired from music business anyway.
In January 2008 Marcell Nix "Nixi", a very talented bondacious young drummer completed the band's line-up with his powerful beat.
I am Mathias and I am very sad to tell you about that the band split up on 19th April 2008 because of individual incompatibility between two important members and personal items like a lack of necessarily skills, not having enough time to practice adequately to accomplish committed and agreed musical objectives. Long distances between members were resulting in severe communication problems. At the moment it is not sure if the band is going on with musical projects anyhow. If I do so, it will take some time to reorganize a new and better performing line up.
I am looking for a singer, keyboarder, bass and a drummer. If you live near Paderborn, dispose of professional project music skills, social competence, gig experiences, age between 30 and 50, please contact me by email. Normally, the last one switches off the lights but don't let me be the one. :-)
I will invite you to release a professional CD with own stuff, concerning gigs and please join me for just having fun. Nothing else matters. What you can't do we'll do together well. You are welcome! :-)
