putting on a charity Poker Run and event for a wounded soldier and his family. The Tracey Edwards’ Family Charity Event is planned for August 30, 2009, will begin with a Poker Run beginning at Sedalia Bar & Grill from 10am until 3pm. The after event at the Grizzly Rose (located at I-25 and 58th Ave) will begin around 2:30 pm and continue to approximately 6 pm.This event is in benefit of Tracy Edwards and her children. Tracy’s 25 year old son, Adam Denton, is a soldier who was severely wounded in Iraq and is currently at Walter Reed Medical Hospital in Washington, D.C. He will soon be honorably discharged and returning to Colorado where he will be rejoining his mother and siblings. In order to be with her injured son at Walter Reed, Tracey has lost her job and is currently experiencing transportation difficulties. Her other son Jeremy suffers from a variety of mental issues due to past abuse from his father and Tracey has also been awarded custody of her 2 year old granddaughter who is suspected to have fetal alcohol syndrome. On top of all of this, the family has just temporarily moved in with a relative in Pueblo, CO to escape a unhealthy domestic situation. The goal of this event is to raise funds in order to safely relocate Tracey and her children and create the best possible situation for her son Adam’s return.The Poker Run will have registration at 10 am at the Sedalia Bar & Grill and pass through Lil Ricci’s Off Broadway Lounge, Caldonia’s, Rooster’s Bar & Grill, and finally Top Gun motorsports with the after party next door at the Grizzly Rose. The event itself will consist of a variety of family based items designed to entertain and raise funds for this family. DSF (Denver Street Freestyle), the number one rated motorcycle freestyle stunt riders in Colorado have agreed to donate a few shows in a blocked off section of the Grizzly Rose parking lot. We will also be having a bikini motorcycle wash, Bike/Car Show, live music, Bikini contest, a series of raffles and a silent auction for larger donated items. All of this (except for Poker Run registration) is free to the public with the intent of raising donations.
