WAV live @ the Luminaire - 14.9.7
captured by our Toby Tobias.
[2000-2002] - Using a P166 desktop computer the first three albums were created almost entirely from acoustic samples. "Parabola" was mastered by Chen, while "Blitzkrieg" and "Larmbelastigung" were recorded onto an Amstrad MD recorder. Typical sources included kitchen utensils, toy keyboards, and the human voice. The "Carousel" animations were also produced during this period.
[2002-2003]
Using a Roland MC50 sequencer and Yamaha MU15 sound module bought with student loan seven tracks known as "The Jinglism Collection" were programmed whilst in halls of residence. All sounds were of electronic origin.
[2003-2005]
Since the aquisition of Cubase SX and a half-decent computer over a hundred tracks were made. Utilising the clarity of on screen midi implementation, plus the rediscovery and new capabilites of acoustic sampling.
[This year]
Now that the computer has given up on me I'll be going back to the midi hardware with a few more samplers and synths.Editor V4.4
