Blodspor consists of 5 nihilistic souls from the greater Oslo area and Hammerfest respectively.The whole thing started one cold winter night in 2003 when these misanthropic souls came together and knocked out a dubious plan to smash all genre boundaries and create something new in Norwegian metal. The result was technical, heavy and brutal right-in-your-face metal with influences from all over the place.The music has its feet firmly planted in grindcore, punk, hardcore, death metal and black metal as well as some elements of prog. Blodspor have never followed any conservative direction as to what can or cannot be played, something which has led them to create songs and a sound which is unique.Blodspor has also cooperated with the British performance artist Kate Pendry in a project where they composed parts of the music to her piece Demonology, which was performed last year during the performing arts festival in Stamsund.“What might have happened if Neurosis had ended up on an absinthe binge with Mastodon and Darkest Hour? – The combination would have been wonderfully nihilistic and crushingly brutal, and it would have sounded exactly like Blodspor!
