"In my life I have seen it all, from people telling me that I would never make it in this business to people telling me Im the best they have seen. But I know who I am and Im not going to change because just being me has gotten my pretty damn far in my life". My name is Melina Nava Perez. But you can just call me Melina. Im from Los Angeles, California. I was born on March 9,1979 making me 30 years old. Im a professional wrestler currently signed to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) on the SmackDown brand and im the reigning WWE Women's Champion. I have a brother named P.J<3 Im billingual(english and spanish) I began my career as a model. I even Miss California beauty contest and modeled for Nike. I first decided to become a wrestler after talking to EWF superstar Mike Henderson. I started training at Jesse Hernandez's School of Hard Knocks in San Bernardino, California and made my professional debut in April 2002. In late 2002 I auditioned for WWE's reality show Tough Enough 3, making it through to the final twenty-one before being eliminated from the competition in the final cut of the first episode. But I never stoped trying to pursue my dream to become a wrestler. I debuted in WWE's developmental territory OVW in March 2004, being placed in an angle as John Hennigan's ex-girlfriend. During my time in OVW, John, Steven Adkins, and I came up with my infamous trademark split ring entrance, that everyone loves so much. I made my first Raw appearance on November 29, 2004, when Randy Orton was the guest General Manager and hosted a diva lingerie fashion show. I also made another Raw appearance in December, participating in a limbo contest when Chris Jericho was General Manager for the night. But now I got drafted to SmackDown!
