My name is Arnold "Ernie" Hayes , I am a Composer, Artist, Poet and Entrepreneur. When I was younger and playing in school bands I always remember how I would hear compositions in my head, melodies and arrangements. I am blessed to be able to follow my dreams. This album, Fine Wine is smooth and laid back. If you feel the music why not buy a track. The instruments I played while growing up were the Upright Bass, Bass guitar, Trombone and Piano. I studied music production from Berklee College of Music. My influences include Herbie Handcock, Joe Sample, Brian Culbertson, Duke Ellington and others. I like to compose music that is spiritually uplifting.
As an Artist I have been drawing and painting for over 20 years, I studied Art from grade school to college, my influences include Romare Bearden, Paul Klee and Wassily Kandinsky. You can check out my collection here .
I have also been writing Poetry for many years and also studied poetry in College, I am pleased to release my first book of poetry entitled “Subtle Hues†. My poetry has been included in two Anthologies. My Poetry influences are numerous including, Langston Hughs and Nikki Giovani. You can view my new book here .
