Dave Lantz Trio

David Lantz IV, jazz pianist, currently resides in the Poconos, Pennsylvania. He started violin and piano lessons at the age of 4 and later took up sax and guitar. At the age of 9, David began lessons with pianist Eric Doney, and has since studied with many other jazz musicians, including Dave Liebman, Phil Markowitz, Jesse Green, and Spencer Reed.A member of COTA Cats for 3 years, (a select high school group that plays at the COTA Jazz Festival in Delaware Water Gap), David had his first gig at age 14 and has played jazz piano for restaurants, clubs, parties and benefit performances. At the age of 15, he had his debut performance at the well-known jazz club, The Deer Head Inn in Delaware Water Gap, and has had several return engagements. This year, David was selected for the piano chair for All-State Jazz Band in Pennsylvania and received the ASCAP Young Jazz Composers award for his composition "Midnight Voyage." He hopes to attend Manhattan School of Music following high school.
