SHANG TZU BIOGRAPHY I was Born March 28th 1978 in a small area of New York called White Plains. I grew up in the bronx watching my mother and father struggle to keep my sister and I going. I remember as a child the only thing I really had to pass the time by was an old beat up radio I got for christmas at the age of 4. I would listen to Dj Red Alert and would hope to someday be an entertainer. I fell in love with dance also at age 6 but my sister would doubt me day in and day out. I went to the Westchester County Fair that same year where they had a breakdance competition. My sister told me I had no chance. It is funny but I ended up taking 1st place. I knew from that day forward that I could do what people said I couldn't. At age 9 my parents got a promotion with their job and moved to a small city in Central Florida called Lake Mary. I started going to school and immediately had a hard time getting along with a new set of people I was not used to. Through the years I finally turned 16 and was able to drive. I had a project for economics, to go pick a career and do an interview. I saw nothing but a chance to learn more about my passion for music, so I went to 102 jamz(WJHM) and did an interview on an On-Air Personality, by the name of Bartell Bartell (RIP). Through the interview I was introduced to two twin brother DJ's by the name of Rich and Ray "aka" (Twice as Nice) "aka" (The Babolou Bad Boys). They started up a radio battle contest on-air called survival of the fittest, which was a mobb deep instrumental that listeners would call in to battle with rhymes in hopes to get votes from other listeners. Rich and Ray offered me a proposal. If I could win 7 weeks in a row, they would let host the show. I fortunately won 8 weeks in a row, and suddenly the show was mine. I did a open up promo commercial for the twins and my high school Lake Mary, took joy in my start to something big. I grew up in age and eventually obtained management from a very well known individual I don't want to talk about. I learned alot about the game of music, and I ended up meeting a great guy who took over ownership of a great studio by the name of Sam Verrella. He invested alot of his time into me, and we aimed at being huge together. I met a dude by the name of Matt Biggers (Executive Director of Marketing) for the Orlando Magic Pro Basketball team. I submitted a song that I wrote and recorded (mixed by Sam V.), for the theme, and he accepted it. I ended up doing 3 different songs that played 4 years back to back. I met many celebrities during my growth in this industry, and I have never let that make me feel hyped up. I met Troy Hudson while he was playing for the magic, and we did songs, but when asked to sign to his label, I got confused with all the different artists on his roster so instead I chose to remain friends and move forward. I had always wanted to do an album but I always seemed to run into very bizaar people who didnt have the same focus I have. I did a song here and there like any artist, but never shopped any product to labels, due to business not being handled right. I learned alot along the way and some of my abilities are as follows.
