india06/08 with a simple handycam a lot of tapes and open eyes we ventured through india. we had some vague ideas of what we wanted to make, but most ideas came along the way. now more than a year later we have started to work with the material collected. already we have made a few examples and mini films.mysore feet feet have a special position in india. as it is the dirtiest parts of the body, it is impolite to point your soles towards other people and even god-images. to show respect to elders and other of higher status the hindus touch the feet of the revered one. this is also done with the god-images. this both a way to show respect and to transfer from the glory of the one touched to the one touching. this film anyhow will tell the story of every day life of feet. to give this film a kind of story we introduce the shoe salesman of mysore: Naiyaz Paisha. selling shoes from a worn down street corner.nimble hands as a complete opposite to the slow indian feet the hands are quick and nimble. indian hands work fast and accurate. but just as the feet the hands are also worn down and sometimes very dirty. as focus we follow two coconut wallas, chopping a lot of coconuts for a new years eve celebration.animals of the city in the west you rarely see wild animals within the city limits. of course some animals has adapted to city life but not like in india; even in the centre of any city in india you will find a huge variety of semi-wild animals. cows, dogs and birds are the ones most seen, but rats, lizards, snakes, camels, goats, pigs, cats and monkeys are also quite common.origami disharmonika music videos
