I love music, singing, poetry, cooking.....my interests pretty much follow my mood, I am pretty open to trying anything at least once.....however the main focus of my time right now is me. Striving to be a better person, a better Christian, a great mom and moving my career forward. In so many words my interests lie in creating a better me in order to give back my heart and time to my community.
I'd like to meet:
There is really no one in particular that I would be mad about if I didn't meet...well, maybe Oprah. I'd like to find out how, next to Jesus, she is one of the few people in the world who can say that she likes something and ERBODY wants to get it..... if Oprah likes it, it's a done deal......influence like that I can't be mad at.....
..!
Music:
MyHotComments :: HotFreeLayoutsI enjoy all types of music from gospel to alternative.....some of my favorite artists are John Legend, Jill Scott, Kanye West, Anita Baker, Phylis Hyman, Joss Stone, Thicke, Fred Hammond, Smokey Norful, Kirk Franklin, Maroon 5, Creed.....the list is long and goes across the spectrum, all depends on what mood I'm in.
Movies:
I like all kinds but action/adventure is my favorite - anything with Jet Li but love The One and Hero, Matrix 1 and 2 (3 tied up the loose ends but, eh), Blade 1 and 2 (3 was garbage), Equilbrium and Minority Report (good sci-fi that makes you think),Crouching Tiger/Hidden Dragon, Enter the Dragon, Gladiator, Troy. On the flip side of that I also like Ali, Ray, Higher Learning, School Daze, The Color Purple, A Beautiful Mind, Identity, The Cube; on the flip side of THAT there's Saw, Dog Soldiers...... yet another list that could go on for ever........
Television:
My favorite TV show current would be CSI the original. Miami is ok if you like David Caruso's crazy over acting, New York won't start getting good until next season, if it ever does. I like Law and Order (the original) and Everybody Hates Chris. Surprisingly My name is Earl is pretty funny, too. On Cable - Love, LOVE, LOVE (do you get me?) the Sopranos and Nip/Tuck as well. Old school shows I like are (gotta love Nick at Night) Good Times, Different Strokes, That's My Mama, Sanford and Son, The Jeffersons and Miami Vice....
Books:
I've read all of Grisham's work, favorite would be Brethren, went through a Stephen King faze, last thing I read of his was Rose Madder. I like James Patterson, Dean Koontz, Iris Johansen. Also into inspirational and leadership books like John Maxwell, T.D. Jakes. I also like Omar Tyree, Bebe Moore Campbell and Michael Baisden.
Heroes:
My Hero, hands down, no negotiation, is my dad. Although he has flaws (like everyone) he's always been a daddy, not just a father......my mom is cool too but I'd take a bullet for my dad.......
