My real love for music came from my father who taught me simple chords that I would later add to words compiled out on the ocean’s waves. - - - -As a 14-year-old boy I’d sit on my surfboard waiting for the next wave to roll in. This was when I was at my calmest and it was then that it seemed as though lyrics almost came to me. Once ashore, I’d add my father’s simple chords to them but also experimented and added some of my own sounds. - - - -Later, the influence of Norah Jones and Tracy Chapman led me from a heavy rock approach to a calmer genre. It was the Counting Crows, however, that made the break for me. I was at a time in my life where I felt that every word that came from Adam’s songs was meant for me. I have always been a thinker and the Counting Crow’s helped me to put my feelings and thoughts into my music. - - - - -The influence of Jack Johnson finally moved me to acoustic and that is where I want to stay. I have recorded all my songs thus far in my bedroom, with the dream to soon do a full on recording in studio. - - - - - -Currently I work as an environmental educator as well as an adventure guide. I strongly believe that through education we can close the gap between humans and nature—it is not the earth that needs us, but we that need it.It is this message that I am trying to convey with and through my music.- - - -That is what I am, that is what my music is - -It is from the heart - -It is a part of me - -It is who I am- - - - Thank you for taking the time to read this.
