I was going to go to the canal town of Tongli, but I couldn't find the bus station. Since I was already at the train station I decided to just hop on the next train to SuZhou instead.


SuZhou Singers...this is how the children end their morning excersises...and this is what happens for ten minutes between EVERY class period of the day... and so it began...

Yang's Fry Dumplings are the best in Shanghai...mmmmm...breakfast in shanghai...THINGS THAT MAKE ME HAPPY:living in China, learning to speak Mandarin, Chinese people, my job, my students, meeting other people who are also currently living their lives to the fullest or inspiring people who are not to do so, huo guo, luo guo, monkeys! aikido, painting, cooking, eating, learning, teaching, singing, believing, working, giving, cleaning up my side of the street, riding my bike, my ladies, red lipstick, golden elephants, x-rays, tattoos, record players, new orleans, interesting human beings, fishnet stockings, loving the best i ever can, playing outside, short skirts, high heels, chuck taylors, picnics, anniversaries, rock 'n' roll, the words "poo" and "crap"-or any variation of them i.e. "poop" or "crap-tastic", laughing at silly things, tickling, poking my finger in someone's nose unexpectedly, reading, and roller skating. yes, the list goes on, but these are the things that make me happy.I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)

Good-Bye Shanghai

     I retuned to Shanghai at about 10am with only about two hours of sleep in me.  On top of the sleep deprivation, things were already changing as I headed back to "my apartment"...
