In 2001 The National Treasury of Jamaica, expressed the interest in purchasing the entire collection and museum from Roger Steffenss. The archives is been running strong since 1973, and prior to that Roger was still collecting, not till 73 the Archives of Roger Steffenss was consider one of its kind, which contains, rare audio, rare compact vinyl (7" records) some are one of a kind in the world, along with signatures and autographs from musican and producers, extended amount of interviews, footage, soundboard recordings from various tours and concerts all over the world. Roger even came to be Fela A. Kuti A. Kuti's road manager during the mid 80's after Felas release from jail. Roger was the first person to interview Olatungi African Icon in music. in the early 90's Roger was nominated to become the American Music awards concil for Caribian / Reggae committe. basically Roger is the one who has the power to choose and research the most played and sold albums from Reggae and the Caribian genre.
