The Perfect Philistines were Ed (Poodleplay Arkestra/Archetype) and Dave Nield.
They met at Photographic college in Manchester and before long realised that they not only shared a visual aesthetic, but also a deep-rooted fear of music.
In between course work, endless drinking bouts and womanising, they deciding to face their fear - and The Perfect Philistines became the vehicle for the long healing process that followed.
Jumping Jehovah! - the transformation was complete - very soon after, the pair were even known to play small events like Photographic exhibiton openings and such - celebrating their new found love of music.
After a while, things evolved (devolved), and the group expanded to include other musicians, and they became the New Philistines (more of later... maybe).
Dave is currently taking a, hopefully, temporary break from making music, and is still working within the Photographic industry.
Ed continues to produce music within the various Poodleplay projects, and now works as a Business Analyst.
