Endless Utopia was formed by John Bitzios(Guitars) at the fall of 2003 along with Andrew(keyboards) and Nick Paraponiaris(bass) .For several months the band was having rehearsals at drumland studios where our dear friend Stelios Sioulas(Reqviem) who had been working there at the time, played along with us some instrumental prog-metal covers as a session drummer. A few months later Costas Gonidis joined the band full time after meeting him at drumland studios completely out of the blue where he was practising drums and we were just blown away after listening to his awesome playing! We simultaneously agreed that he should join our band! A year later(2004) after lots of rehearsals, Endless Utopia made their first live appearance at coca cola’s “echoes of you†school bands contest in thessaloniki which was host by Mylos and won the first prize(a never signed album contract with Lyra-MBI) after passing all the qualification rounds and playing some instrumental Dream Theater covers such as Erotomania, Hell’s Kitchen, Overture 1928 and The dance of eternity except for the final round where the song “voices†was played by having Annie Berka(Stu Beat) on vocals only for this one song. At May 2004 the drummer of the band Costas joined the Greek military force and as a result Stelios took his place again along with angel Haravitsidis(the skelters) on vocals. The band gave several shows for the time being at a small rock bar called papagalos. At May 2005 Costas came back from the army and a few months later it was time for our full time singer Costas Margaritis to join the band! Endless Utopia joined gigs with bands such as Implosion , Hokam’s Razor , Pathetic Project, Entropia Utopia and others, playing at rock stages such as rock bottom, ksilourgio(mylos), club(Mylos), eightball, papagalos ,at festivals such as Amfiktionia and one show at the University of serres.
