My name is Veronique. I'm an singer, actress and model. My true love is singing. I've been singing since the age of six. I feel free and expressive when I sing. I feel that the world can be so judgemental and so unforgiving and cruel, but that does not bother me because I have sound I have music. In my music you'll see and hear many diffrente influences, I love rock, artists like Tina Turner, ladies from the group Heart, Lita Ford. On the Vodou side, I dig Boukman Eksperyans, Emeline Michelle. On the Compas we have Princess GEORGI! Who I think is one of the greatest Compas singers, notice I didn't say female because it doesn't matter Georgi can touch you male or female! Then we have Ti Manno; we should all know who he is. I presently sing in a band and we sing Traditional Haitian and Dominican Music and also, and most importantly, working on my solo album. We perform all over but are from New York. I had the honor to work with the group Zamm, made up of Patrick Apollon who is also is the drummer for the Haitian Compas group Zin and Marko Devine who is a wonderful musician and individual. I'm from Haiti. I've been here since the age of 7. I did a lot of traveling back and forth to my country for the purpose of keeping myself whole, humbled and spiritual. We as people have the habit of forgetting where we're from, but not me! Haiti is the most beautiful place in the world not to take anything away from the other existing islands. It is such a mystical place to be. I'm proud of who I am and where I'm from. There's a lot more to learn about me, my group, and my country! Stay tuned!
