About Me

Welcome to the University of Maryland Eastern Shore's Visual Arts Program. On this page you can get information about us (including links to our degree programs), view artwork by UMES faculty and students, and see pictures of our students at work and on field trips. Please spend a moment and learn more about us.
Some highlights about our department:
• Small class sizes
• Dedicated faculty of working artists who inspire and motivate students
• Diverse supportive and talented students
• Lowest tuition of any university in the state of Maryland
• Real-world internships
• Classes in photography, painting, computer graphics and sequential arts (comics)
• Annual field trips to museums in NY, Philadelphia and Washington D.C.
• Active student art organization (Envision – check our friends)
• Large Macintosh computer lab (one-per-student, no waiting)
Please check the links below to find out more about our majors.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

We would like to meet high school and community college students interested in the visual arts, especially if you love comic books, photography, painting and illustration. We would also love to hear from college students who are already enrolled at a university but are looking to transfer to a great program for a fraction of the cost you are currently paying.
