Music. Movies. (Way too much) TV. Video Games. Art (being that I'm a graphic design major and all). Racing. And of course geeky crap like computers and tech news.
Anyone interesting (not scary...interesting, big difference). Into movies, music, art, video games (hell, even if you're not, it's cool), and racing (rally, gt, circuit, most any kind except NASCAR. That stuff's awful). I'm really just wanting to meet some people outside my circle of friends, they're cool and all, I just want to meet new folks, and maybe even strike a chord with someone. But here's the catch for being my friend: No fucking blind invites! If you do, you get ignored. Period. (Unless I know you personally, then I bend the rule). Do the right thing and message me a time or two. And not one of those, "Hey babe, can I be your friend?" kind of bullshit messages. A legit conversational message. Show me you actually have a modicum of intrest in me. It's the decent thing to do.
There's not enough room to list all the stuff I like. But here's a sample: NIN, Bloc Party, Blur, Failure, Deftones, Angelo Bedalamenti, John Williams, Beethoven, Bach, James Brown, Johnny Cash, Beastie Boys, Run DMC, Foo Fighters, Boss Tones, Res, Grahm Revell, Moby, Franz Ferdinand, The Walkmen, The French Kicks, Devo (child of the 80s, so yes...I like Devo), The Cure, Depeche Mode, (you're still reading this?) The Clash, The Smiths, David Bowie, Steely Dan, Frank Zappa, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Ah Ha, They Might Be Giants, (old)Rod Stewart, Genesis, Royksopp, and waaayyy more.
Horror, action, comedies, thrillers, and good old slasher flicks. Not a big fan of "chick flicks", although I have seen some good ones. And Anime, but the good stuff, not the pop anime. So here's a bit of a list: Rocky Horror Picture Show, Labyrinth, Star Wars (the originals), Equilibrium, Requium for a Dream, The City of Lost Children, Dead Man, Betty and Joon, Baron Munchousen (or however it's spelled), Time Bandits, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, 12 Monkeys, Traffic, Office Space, Sin City, Terminator 1 and 2, 50 First Dates, The Wedding Singer, Get Shorty, 2 Days in the Valley, Good Will Hunting, Clerks, Mall Rats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, The Right Stuff, The Punisher (not the one with Dolf Lundgrin), Drowning Mona, Wild Things, Saw 1 and 2, Swamp Thing, Pee Wee's Big Adventure (yes...I like this movie), Edward Scissor Hands, Beetlejuice, Batman 1, 2, and Returns, Stand By Me, Schindler's List, Saving Private Ryan, ok it's a big list, Appleseed (old and new), Lost Highway, Mulholland Drive, Ghost in the Shell, Akira, Spirited Away, Snatch, Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels, Trainspotting, A Clockwork Orange, The Dark Crystal, LotR Trilogy, The Frighteners, Pi, The Grudge (American and Japanese), The Ring, Spiderman 1 and 2, and a WHOLE lot more.
Almost anything. Tech TV was the shit, G4 sucks ass. But the Daily Show and the Colbert Report are my favorites. I really miss Colin Quin's Tough Crowd, though. That show was fantastic.
Farenhieght 451, 1984 (just getting into it for the first time...good so far, though). Wheel of Time series, Lord of the Rings, To Kill a Mockingbird, Animal Farm, Red Badge of Courage. Anything by Ambrose Bierce or Frederick Douglas (although both are virtually impossible to find collected in one book). Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes stories. Most any Mark Twain. Douglas Adams (Hitchiker's series and Long, Dark Tea Time of the Soul). The Narnia series (pre-movie and god awful British miniseries). Asimov (although I admit that he's exceptionally difficult for me to read, though brilliant). The Dark Tower series (was freaking awesome). And a fair amount of others I probably will remember later but will be too lazy to add.
The brave men and women who make pies.
