Hi, Everyone!I am so excited. I graduate from grad school next month! Now, I can concentrate on other projects. Surprises coming soon!Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you'll get. I entered the world of "Belly dance" eight years ago and I'm still loving it! I attended my first class with Dr. Sunyatta Amen. I got hooked and was with her for almost 4 years. I also had the honor of being one of the original Moor Hips.When I moved to Chicago, I taught belly dancing classes for almost 2 years at Naturally Fit. I really enjoyed teaching my own classes. I also danced with Khalidah's North Afrikan dance experience! Under Mama Khalidah(30+ years of experience!), I've learned not only Egyptian, but also my other favorite dance Tunisian! I've really been blessed with learning from great dancers like Khalidah, Morocco, Amaniyea, Leila, Somra, Tariq, etc... Next on my list is Fifi, Dina, Ansuya, and Tito!Now, I'm back in DC and in grad school(Graduate in December!). I currently teach at the Bikram Yoga Studio in Columbia,MD(Due to distance, this will be a monthly workshop), Suitland,MD(classes will resume again in December), and the World Gym in Calvert County. Due to the demand, more classes are coming soon! I've been told I have my own unique style of dancing (I'm Nigerian! You know we go hard!). My goal is find my niche in the world.
