The original inception of Minus Life was formed early in 2002 by members Scott moss (Vox), Ryan O'Connell (Guitars) and Matt Bellette (Keyboards) with the intention of creating an original and modern style of heavy music.Having shared previous experiences in other bands together the members were familiar with each other's styles, influences, creative ability and ambition. After much deliberation on whether or not a second guitar was needed to achieve a more traditional European sound, the band opted to utilize the keyboards as a dominant instrument, generating a highly orchestrated effect.
With the recent addition of ex-Hollow bass guitarist Kent Haines and ex-Yuri drummer Travis Henderson, Minus Life have risen to the forefront of Australian Metal.

Although it is somewhat difficult to describe their music, Minus Life chose to label their style as being 'Symphonic Death Metal'.
Minus Life parted ways in June 07 citing musical differences.
Scott has been signed to an Australian label for a solo rock project.
