We are what we do. It's no simpler than that.

About Me

After 18 years in the states, I've gone "home". Copenhagen, Denmark. A new life. Denmark is a country people, it's not a part of Holland, Germany or Sweden. It's independent, like me.I do what I love, and I love what I do. I went to art school, developed a talent, and have been living off of it since. Making pictures is a passion. Doing what you want has a price, and learning to live with that cost is more of a burden than most want to realize. Some think that artists choose to live in poverty. Well, they're right. Living with what you love costs just that: all luxury. It's like that Rolling Stones song: "You can't always get what you want, no-o, but you get what you need..."I travel. I see. I do my thing. I take risks. All at a cost. But I choose not to complain, but to accept that cost, despite my wanting otherwise. Luxury is a drug, and any fool who tells you they don't want it, knows not themself enough. Copenhagen is one of the most expensive cities in the world, so I have chosen to give up some hours of my day to a job that pays the bills, is brainless, and let's me concentrate on what's important when I get off at 5. Film. Until the gods let me live off my real work, I work for a cell phone company, as a salesman. So what do you do? I didn't join myspace to talk about me. I joined to learn about you. That's how artists work. We study you and ourselves. We study us.

My Interests

Culture. Art. Jumping. Jumping with a blindfold. Dreaming. But most importantly, doing. Talk is cheap, unless it brings you closer to knowledge. Talkers that do.

I'd like to meet:

Risk-takers of all kinds. People that know what they want, but aren't blind to everything else. Culture-vultures. Free-spirits. Wanderers. Hitchhikers. Storytellers. Dreamers.

Music:

Freestyle. Improv anything, jazz, rap, dj, scratch, big band, ska, ragga, dub, rock (70's, '90's), salsa, and on and on... Things i don't like: commercialized pop, country, or cheap imitations.

Movies:

Movies that make you forget you're watching a movie. An experience: anything Kubrick, Jarmusch. I don't have a top ten: but movies that marked me recently: East of Bucharest, The Bothersome Man, Chopper, Fritz the Cat, Dark Horse, I Am Cuba, Memories of Underdevelopment, Science of Sleep, The Optimists, The Goddess of 1967. It's not fair to ask an artist their favorite film. There are too many. So just ask which was the last film that marked them as a great film.

Television:

Modern: mostly anything HBO. HBO makes good tv. Apart from them, not much.

Books:

Like movies, books are too vast to favoritize. Although books have unfortunately taken a second place to my beloved films. At the moment of this post, the book I'm reading now: Egil's Saga. The book I just read: In the Shadow of No Towers. My favorite author now and since 2000, George Orwell.

Heroes:

Jim Jarmusch, Lao Tsu, Georges Brassai, Jacques Prevert, Ferrucio Lamborghini, Francois Pompom, Stan "the Man" Kubrick, Guillermo Arriaga, George Clooney, Wes Anderson, Charlie Chaplin, Paul Gauguin, Leonardo DaVinci...
