About Me

Jacob Saliba, owner of Elm Street Audio, has a passion for recording music. He believes in giving clients the best quality recording that can be given. He serves his clients as a producer, engineer, and musician. Whether you just need an honest representation of your sound, or help filling in some of the gaps, Elm Street Audio can give you the sound you're looking for.
How:

Projects are recorded using the industry standard recording platform Protools through high-end outboard preamps and converters. There is a constantly growing collection of quality and professional microphones that are used to capture your performance. Several software synths, samplers, and drum machines are available that can easily interface with your project to allow another degree of creativity. In addition, quality instruments and amplifiers are available for use to help create a professional sound. See the gear section for more detailed information.

Rates:

Hourly - $20 an hour for recording/editing/setup. $40 flat mixing fee per song, or if you'd like to sit in on the mixing, $20 an hour.
Per Song - Alternatively, a $200 per song flat fee can be applied for many projects. This includes all recording, editing, setup, and mixing. We always recommend that you have your project professionally mastered, however we do have an affordable premastering service for clients on a tight budget that is included in per song pricing.

About Jake Saliba :

Ever since he started playing guitar at age 15, Jake has been trying to record himself or the bands he has played in. What started as a way to get himself onto tape quickly escalated into a full time quest for great tone. After highschool, the interest had grown to such a high level that he decided to go to school to study audio engineering. Classes completed at MCC include training in studio recording, digital audio workstation (Protools), live sound, electronic music programming (MIDI), and music theory. He graduated with an AAS degree in Audio Engineering. He has had instruction under several accomplished engineers in the audio field such as Andy Seagle and Cory Spotts. Jake has engineered recording sessions in the top notch facilities of MCC and Sountracks Studios in addition to his own Mesa studio.
Jake has also spent most of the last year running live sound, video, and lights for corporate clients at the Hyatt Regency. More recently, he has returned to college to pursue a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. School and work might pay the bills, but music feeds the soul. Jake's soul likes to eat a lot.
