At the age of 15, he began to get very serious about his rapping by working a full time job trying to raise enough money to purchase a studio, he got paid daily and everytime after work he would go put more money down on different studio equipment, but it wasn't until he was 17 that he actually made a name for himself, becoming Steve V, which he would later respell as "Steve Victory". After failing the 9th grade twice in a row, he quit school, but remarks that he doesn't consider himself stupid and doesn't advise that people should follow his example. He says that it just wasn't for him, he had felt like rapping was the only thing he thought about during school and would get in trouble for writing rhymes in the classroom. He says he felt like school was just a backup plan for a regular job witch that's not what he wanted to do, he knew what he was put on this earth to do and that was to entertain people. When Steve turned 17 he was tired of nothing happening with his music so he got anxious and started calling major labels rapping on their voicemails, not long after that reknowned manager Tommy Quon also CEO of Ultrax Records called Steve and told him he liked his style and wanted to fly him down to Dallas TX to cut a few track's, a short time after that Tommy Quon was flying to Steve's hometown to sign a management contract. Steve then began working on his album titled "Struck By Lightning" inspired by his teenage heartbreak, with lot's of support from some big producers and other major rap and r&b artist he came out with a great solid first album that would soon let everyone know who Steve Victory is and what he is about. It is within a matter of time before Steve Victory is a household name.
