About Me

Jai 30 (Spitter), born Jeremy Jefferies, a Native of Gastonia, NC was born to be a Pretty Boy!!! Raised in average family with a hood nigga for a dad, Jai was brought up in the liquor house with spade players, liquor drinkers, and old music heads that planted the seed in him to deliver a style of music that can be enjoyed by all music lovers. In 1996, Jai 30 was introduced to the mic as a recording artist in the "Dungeon" with Shaun B. He recorded multiple tracks and passed the cassettes out around high school where people realized he had a special gift with word play and bringing out the track with his voice and delivery. Still unknowing of his style but knowing that music was his "come up" he continued to write and stun his peers with punchlines and creativity. In January of 2000, Jai ventured off to Fayetteville, NC to continue his education at Fayetteville State University. It wasn't until 2001 when he met his big brother in music, Phudd Butta, and and began to take his musical gift seriously. Phudd Butta and T Dot which would later ne known as F.A.M. First took Jai 30 in as an intern to sit around other artist at the school. Wanting to jump in and show his ablilty Jai 30 was forced to sit and watch Phudd Butta, T Dot and Jeronimo Joe and gain the experience in the studio which would later help him become better as an artist. In 2003, Jai 30 was finally giving the chance the record and deliver. It was then on his first single, Mystres, that he proved himself as an artist and was invited into F.A.M. First Entertainment.By the summer of 2005 Jai 30 was still in search of his own swagga. While work on the "We in the Building" mixtape with Phudd Butta he started to notice his swag develope. By early Fall of 2005, F.A.M. First had developed in a major power house of artist including, Jai 30, which would form the coalition known today as Dusty Middle East Entertainment (DME). The first originally album was complete but remains unreleashed but featured original music and featured Jai 30 on several tracks. After hit singles from the album such as "Don't Be Afraid" (a Fayetteville radio station 101.9 independent countdown 1 hit for & weekes and retired) and Stip Club favorite (Uww Wee) Jai 30 began to reconstruct his entire swag.In 2006, after taking time with his daughter and the reconstruction of his artistic ability, Jai 30 dropped his first solo mixtape "The Constitution". Still in search of his own, he continued to bring a fierce flow consisting of punchlines and word play.Leaving Fayetteville in 2006 was the best and worse thing for him all at the same time. It forced him to become independent but pulled him away from his inspiration. Being back in Gastonia permanently for the first time in 6 years was like starting over again. There was so many artist claiming to be the best and Jai 30 didn't care about the title for "the city". Being a student all those years just sitting around arting such as Phudd Butta, T Dot, Jeronimo Joe, Carolina Slim, and Big Champ and watching Fran D, Rolling Weight and Project Stars, Jai 30 knew that this music game was much bigger than his home city. His next mixtape, "The Constitution pt. 2" was simple an introduction to the city that he was back and about to be a force to be reckon with. This is when he finally got his swag!Being influenced by Kanye West, T.I., Ludacris, Andre 3000 and his all time favorite artist, Jay - Z, Jai 30 began to produce hot music with a arrogant, and cocky swag. His first album "Laugh My Ass Off (LMAO)" gave you tracks like G.R.I.T.S., AYO!, Classic, and Loving This Game. It's from there that the swagga of Jai 30 began!!!
